This presentation, " Complexity into Information", is the first part of the Beacon series on Artificial Intelligence (AI). This session will set the stage for future sessions in this series which will dive into more details and specific areas/applications.

This presentation addresses key topics in the current AI landscape which are relevant to building data driven products and services in any industry.

There will be a short breakout-session where groups will get together and use provided criteria to guess which type (Good Old Fashion Artificial Intelligence vs Machine Learning vs Deep Learning) of "AI system" is being used in various products.

The goal of the presentation is to have the viewer come away with a new perspective on data driven business processes and growing new AI efforts.

Speaker

Lucas Beauchemin spent years as a researcher in the cross-section of cognitive science and applied mathematics before starting his entrepreneurial work in the early days of data science products. Lucas is now based in Philadelphia, operating as the Chief Strategy Officer at Vertex Labs. Lucas has led large scale AI strategy efforts at Accenture, Google, and multiple mid-sized organizations.
